Jaime Checkley RELI 1001 – Honerkamp Islam Film Summary Islam: There is no god but God It is said that in Islam, every child is born Muslim by nature having the  belief of one God in his heart. Hundreds of millions of people worldwide profess  to be Islams and study the Koran. In the film “There is no god but God,” the host  takes the audience on a journey to Cairo, from the town of El Fayoum for dawn  prayers to an oasis village 50 miles from Cairo for a wedding.   As a part of this  experience the audience learns about the basics of the religion, and how  followers believe in Islam.   Cairo, the capital of Egypt, is not only the largest city in Africa and the  Arab world, but is also one of the most densely populated cities in the world. 103  miles southwest of Cairo, surrounded by high plateaus, is the town of El Fayoum.  This town is home to important Islamic monuments such as Quaitbay Mosque
