Tricia Mittman ID: 10304462 SI 110 Assignment 1 September 7, 2010 I was born on January 7, 1991 in Chappaqua, New York to Debi and Evan Mittman. I attended the local public school where I met my long time best friends, and spent summers at Camp Chenawah in upstate New York. I was a competitive gymnast until age 13, and have played tennis since then. Attending the University of Michigan has been my dream since I was a little girl, and receiving my acceptance letter in November 2008 is still one of the best moments of my life. I have four siblings, and its fair to say that my large family has shaped who I am today. A large age gap exists between us – fourteen years to be exact, but while many would think that would make us more distant, it has in fact created an unusual yet extraordinary bond. It is through my older siblings that I have gained a unique kind of maturity and understanding of the different stages of life.
