1 Announcements Lecture 9 If you would like to request special seating (e.g. left-handed desk), email me by Wednesday (Oct. 21) at 6p. Also include whether you are in 3p or 4p class. Format of midterm is different from last year: 20 multiple choice questions (1 point each) Midterm is “cumulative” in the sense that I refer back to concepts from the first 6 lectures

2 Message Board etiquette Students must be respectful to Profs, TAs and each other. We will delete any posts that are inappropriate or rude. Questions must be as well formulated as possible, clear and concise. Students are encouraged to answer each others questions. We will attempt to clarify if a student gives a faulty explanation, but If another student answered a question sufficiently, we will not address it further. We will probably not answer a question that has already been asked and answered in a previous thread, or that that has been asked and answered in class.
