A piece of silicon has 2 x 10 15 cm -3 donor atoms. Assuming that the electrostatic potential is measured (or zero referenced) with respect to the Fermi level, what is the electrostatic potential? (Hint: potential is potential energy divided by the charge) 2. Do the same as last problem for a p-type silicon sample with 10 16 cm -3 acceptor atoms. 3. Problem 11 on page 100 in the course reader.
