State diagram Mealy and Moore machines Draw the state diagram for a pattern recognizer that has one input with values 0 and 1, and outputs a 1 whenever the input sequence contains two 1 s immediately followed by three 0 s. 2. Analysis of sequential network Given the sequential network below, fill in the state table with appropriate value. 5. Design sequential circuit using flip-flops Design a cyclic counter with the output sequence (0, 1, 3, 7, 6, 4, 0, 1, 3, 7 ) of period 6 using only JK flip-flops. Assume that the input x=1 always. Select a state assignment that is the same as the coding for the output, that is z(t)=s(t). Show the state/output table. Minimize all expressions and show the implementation of the counter. 6. Encoder, Decoder Use a 3-bit binary decoder and a 8-bit binary encoder to implement a code converter to convert a 3-bit Gray code into the 3-bit binary code. 7.
