BUAD 307 Fall 2010 Mid-Term Study Guide The midterm will be roughly 50/50 multiple choice (I’ll provide the Scantron forms) and short answer, so be sure to bring a pencil for the Scantron portion. It will also cover material from both the book and in-class. There is a lot of material, so the test will admittedly represent a lot of read/remember/regurgitate to test your knowledge of basic vocabulary and constructs. There will be some elements of application as well though. Here are some of the highlights of the course to date. Please keep in mind, this is NOT meant to be an exhaustive or all-encompassing list of topics; just some key constructs to be sure to cover in your studying. Contrary to what I said earlier, we will NOT cover chapters 7 and 9 on this test; global markets and market research will be on the final instead. Understand the basic principle of marketing – definition, core aspects, the role of value (an important construct in marketing), why it’s important Know what marketing strategy consists of, its goals and relationship to/the role of
