English 11 Crucible Act 4 Review and Assess Literary Analysis 1. The Crucible shows a great example of how mass hysteria can play a huge role in tearing apart a community. Hysteria allows people to believe that their neighbors whom they have known for a long time and know that they are good people to be criminals. In the story a Abigail accuses Elizabeth for witchcraft which leads to a hysteria and make the people in the town believe that they have other witches in the town. 2. “Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! Because I lie and sign myself to lies! Because I am not worth the dust on the feet of them that hang! How may I live without my name? I have given you my soul; leave me my name!”. 3. They were different he was trying to save as many people as possible while the other were just trying to accuse and not understand and realize the truth. 4.
