David Park English 11 Abraham Lincoln (522-525) 1. “That these dead shall not have died in vain-that this nation, under God, shall have new birth of freedom-and the government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” I like what he said because he is talking about the civil war and why we are fight. It is really inspiring to listen to these kinds of words. “We are met on a great battle-field of that war”. This really brings up how serious the war is. 2. (A) The first speech was at the Battle of Gettysburg which was a turning point of the war. The second speech was at the President’s office. (B) He wanted to reunite the country and end slavery. (C) About basically giving freedom to the slaves.

(B) Because he said this expression he was able to make this come true. 4. (A) He says that sessions is nothing but just a revolution. (B) He thinks that secession is post to be broken. He believes that it was post to united the nation and also for the establishment of the government. 5. (A) He has left his son the gift of freedom. (B) He acknowledges his son’s gifts and then goes on talking about his opposition for sessions. 6. I don’t think its different from the modern presidential addresses.
