David Park English 11 The Outcasts of Poker Flat (580) 1. I admired John Oakhurst because he was so amazingly good a gambling and was basically the villain of the story. 2. (A) The secret committee had determined to get rid of the town’s improper people. (B) What motivates the committee to take action against Mr. Oakhurst because he took all the town’s people’s money and they want to get the money back. 3. (A) Tom Simson and Piney joins the outcasts. (B) They have a helpful effect because they had supplies and a place to stay from the outcasts. 4. (A) He sees snow. (B) I think he ditched everyone and took the animals with him.

(A) He says that he can go without sleep for days. (B) Yes, he knew their luck was running low and eventually knew that they were going to die. 7. (A) They discover a message. (B) This story conveys hidden goodness the outcast people seem liked bad people at first but ended up giving up their lives for the younger people. 8. I think they are able to draw together in life because how different they are they are able to fill the area that are empty....
