Modern Challenges in Immigration 2 Modern Challenges in Immigration The United States government policy should favor certain kinds of immigrants. The type of immigrants that should be favored is the immigrants that are going to benefit the American society. Educated, dedicated, responsible people who want to better themselves and their new found home (the United States) should be favored to come to our county over the ones who are coming her for a free ride and are going to do nothing but a burden to our society. I feel that race, gender, age, color, or ethnic background should come into play when favoring one person over another. In addition to which immigrants are preferred to come to our country, the United States should also give citizenship preference to those who are benefiting our society. The individuals
