(2) Initially I was going to include the artwork on the Presidential Seal, which has several symbolic elements to it. For example, the olive branch in its left talon represents peace, while the arrows in its right talon represent war. Initially, the eagle was facing to the right, towards the arrows, but former President Harry S. Truman did not agree with this, therefore ordering the current form of the eagle looking to the left, towards the olive branch of peace. He stated that while the U.S. is always ready for war, we prefer to look for peace. This is just a small bit of information since I do not believe this symbol is considered artwork. Instead I will write about Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Last Supper and a work of art titled Manu- Acrylic on Canvas by Naveena Gerrits (2006). I chose these two works of art because of the symbolism portrayed within them. Each artist intentionally include symbolic items or
