The sample business I chose was a Bed and Breakfast. The strengths of this business are the location, superb facilities, passionate owners, management, and employees, reasonable prices and strong marketing. A good bed and breakfast should be in a decent location suitable and accessible to patrons who are either looking for comfort and quiet or nearby access to accommodating shops or leisure activities. People want to stay at a B&B that provides accommodating access to either option. The marketing strategy for this business includes television and internet advertising which could contribute to higher numbers of guests staying at the Bed and Breakfast. Some of the weaknesses of this Bed and Breakfast are brand recognition, limited amount of rooms, and the struggle of taking care of everything while maintaining low labor overhead. In order to draw in more customers, a well recognized brand name sets the name of your business in the mind of the potential visiting patrons.
