(2) The water resource issue I am choosing to write about is water pollution of freshwater resources. Water pollution issues originally arose when industrial and nuclear facilities began to use pipes to drain polluted water from the plant in nearby rivers, lakes, streams, and ocean waters. Also included in the origination of water pollution is fertilizer runoff caused by rain, which carries the fertilizer into freshwater sources, as well as air pollutants that cause acid rain, which of course gets into freshwater and ocean water. A few other sources of water pollution are from offshore oil mining companies, boats, sewage or waste that may get into the water, and trash that is disposed of in water sources. There are management and sustainment plans that may be able to reduce issues of water pollution. Creating water reserves so that minimal or no habitat destruction occurs is one way to alleviate water pollution problems. Creating ways to eliminate or reduce the need for oil, coal, or other power sources will aid in reduction of water pollution.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
