INTRODUCTION Industrial dispute occurs in any industry, firm or organisation where there is disagreement either between employer and employees, employers and employers or employees and employees (Sappey, Maconachie, Sappey, & Teo, 1999). The report will briefly illustrate the industrial dispute occurred between SPC Ardmona and Federal Government of Australia. An analysis of the conflict from the point of view of three relevant stakeholders which are employer, employee and federal government will be made. The strategies or tactics utilised by them to forward their case will be identified and examined. MAIN BODY 3. Analysis of dispute from the point of view of stakeholders Dispute in industry can be appeared by numerous factors such as labour costs, industrial regulations infringements, high rate of competitions, influences of economic forces, etc. SPC Ardmona a 90 year old organisation founded in Victoria’s Goulburn Valle, was struggling and alleged by government about overly generous working conditions and low wages, allowances provided to labour in 2014 (Lee, 2016). The three key stakeholders who got affected and influenced by the issues were employers, employees and Federal Government of Australia. The view points and the tactics to put forth their views are discussed in detail below. Furthermore, the motives they intended to achieve throughout the dispute are also elaborated below: (i) Dispute in view point of the employer at SPC Ardmona In response to the rejection of AU $25 million aid from Prime Minister Tony Abbott government, managing director of SPC Ardmona Dr. Sharman Stone accused that government was lying regarding pay and conditions at Shepparton factory. In an interview at ABC Radio, she contends that “It’s not the truth, that’s right, it’s lying." (Swan, 2014). The 1
