Econ 100A, Fall 2010 November 23, 2010 Professor: Dan Acland PS#6 revised, page 1 of 2 Problem Set #6 (revised) ± Due Thursday, December 2 nd , 2010, at the beginning of lecture. ± Late problem sets will not be accepted under any circumstances unless you have an appropriate DSP accommodation or a University approved excuse with written documentation. There will be no exceptions. ± You can work in groups but each student must write out their own problem set. You may not copy another students work. ± Please number your problems carefully and draw a conspicuous box around your final answer for each part of each exercise. You must show your work. Correct answers that do not show how the answer was derived will receive no credit. If your problem set is illegible it will not be graded. ± Write your official name, student ID, GSI name, and section time on your problem set. Prob lem 1 . Each of the 10 million conservationists in the U.S. has demand for wilderness land of ܳ ൌ 20 – 0.1ܲ , where ܳ is units of wilderness land, a unit is 100,000 acres and ܲ is the price of preserving a unit of wilderness land. Each of the 200 million non-conservationists in the U.S. has demand for wilderness land of ± ൌ 10 – P .
