Describe a benefit package for which you would negotiate if you were applying for a position as a manager. What questions would you ask your prospective employer regarding benefits? As a manager, I would expect to receive a certain amount of benefits. Of course I would expect to receive the benefits required by federal and most state laws. These benefits include social security, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, and leaves under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The FMLA is federal law which mandates employers to provide eligible employees up to 12 weeks of unpaid family and medical leave per year, and to restore those employees the same or equivalent position upon their return. An employer must maintain coverage under its group health plan for any employee who is out on family and medical leave for the duration of the leave but not exceed 12 work weeks in the calendar year. An employer is only required to maintain coverage on the same conditions as it would have been provided if the employee had been continuously employed during the entire leave period.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
