Nadia Fiaz Topic: Should embryonic stem cell research be permitted? I. Introduction A. Controversy facing embryonic stem cell research. 1. Two sides to the issue the pros and the cons. 2. Do two wrongs make a right, someone gets an abortion so can we use that to advance research? B. People with illnesses and disease might be able to be treated if this research was allowed. 1. It isn’t definite since we can’t continue the research. 2. However with the experiments done on mice it does show that it could have potential. C. Many people just find this research to be immoral. 1. The research uses aborted fetuses. 2. This is still a life. II. Definition of the Issue A. What are embryonic stem cells?
