Nadia Fiaz Cyber Mentor Paper #3 My cyber mentor is Charles Corrigan, a special education teacher at Niles West High school in Skokie, Illinois. He has a special education classroom and works with high school students with different disabilities such as learning disorders and emotional disturbances. He is specialized in teaching global studies. I asked Mr. Corrigan questions regarding his roles as an Instructional Planner . I wanted to know what accommodations and modifications he makes for his students. I also wanted to know what types of assistive technology was available for the students. I wanted to know how he prioritizes his instruction. I asked Mr. Corrigan what accommodations and modifications he makes for his students. He said the entire curriculum is adapted from the regular education curriculum. His students learn the same material as the general education students just at a different level. He said the reading level is reduced to 4th-5th grade level as compared to 9th grade level for the regular education. According to our discussion in class on October 18th, the lesson plan has to be structured to where it can easily be understood by the students. Mr. Corrigan does this by lowering the reading level down for students. This ensures that all students reasonably
