Setting the Permissions on Files for Web Access 1. You need to set up the correct permissions for your files and folders on Mason server. You will set the permissions so that your web pages can be viewed on Internet. These permissions will provide the owner (that is you) all the permissions (Read, Write and Execute) and others will have Read and Execute permissions only on your web pages. 2.
