Two way exchange: tell the story effectively, listen to the publics needs and  responses, and adapting messages  Mutually Beneficial: promote win-win relationships Management Functions: most influence on policymaking and strategy  formation; provide counsel about actions Deliberate & Planned: proactive; constantly monitors the environment and  feedback; set goals and develop strategies to manage image and  perceptions Focus on all publics: all people; internal and external relations Reputation management: build and maintain good relations/reputations, help  with crisis management 3.
