Submit a typed report 3-5 pages in length (double spaced, font size 12) describing osteoporosis, health implications or potential complications of osteoporosis, the treatment(s) for the disease, and the role of nutrition in the treatment. Emphasis should be placed on the role of nutrition . Also include a works cited page listing at least 5 references. Use the MLA format. II. Are You at Risk? Complete online “Check Up On Your Bones” an interactive web tool from The NIH Osteoporosis and Related Bone Disease – National Resource Center found at http:// www.niams.nih.gov/Health_Info/Bone/. Once you have completed the questionnaire, print out the Results of Your Bone Check-up and Your Bone Balance Sheet. III. Risk Factors for Osteoporosis Identify 10 risk factors for the development of osteoporosis. Indicate which ones may apply to you personally. If the risk factor is modifiable, explain what changes an individual can make to reduce that specific risk factor. Submit this information in a typed format (font size 12, double spaced). Number each of the risk factors.
