Courtney Morris Professional Writing 19 October 2009 Dale Carnegie Presentation In chapters three and four, Dale Carnegie suggests ways to most efficiently achieve your goals. Most of the principles that Carnegie recommends involve working well with others to benefit your own well-being in the end. Many people often make the mistake of criticizing others or giving out harsh orders when they find errors. Carnegie emphasizes the fact that often times, the way you approach someone can greatly affect the outcome you receive. By following Dale Carnegie’s principles, you will find that people will be much more motivated to cooperate with the suggestions you provide. Chapter three is based around the principle that it is smart to “talk about your mistakes first.” Let’s say that someone working for you is not completing the tasks assigned to them in an efficient manner. They keep making a myriad of ongoing mistakes after you have suggested multiple times that they should change their behavior. Naturally, this is a very frustrating
