Important topics from Jan 13 class: At the beginning of class, we discussed my expectations of you and vice versa. I expect you to come to class prepared by having at least read the material in the book once. I expect you to give me your full attention during lecture. I expect you to speak up, whether in class or later, if I am incorrectly assuming previous knowledge or if you are generally confused about the topic. I expect you to uphold the standards of academic integrity and the Carolinian Creed throughout this course. Expectations that you wish of me: Be prepared. Be consistent. Don’t put my other responsibilities ahead of teaching you, resulting in a disorganized, sloppy course. Offer review sessions before tests. Request for study guides. (I said that we will start by having a “recap” at the end of lecture as opposed to one big study guide before exams. I am flexible to finding the best method as the semester progresses.) Be available to you outside of class. Those are the ones I remember being mentioned.
