SPSU accepts 23 more Chinese students by The Sting Online Aug 25, 2007 “By: Twila McConnell You've probably all noticed the recent influx of Chinese students here on campus, whether in your apartment, in your classes, or simply by the incomprehensible chatter around the J-building. But unless you've actually gotten up the nerve to talk to any of the mostly female new students, you probably don't know much about them. Dr. Bennett, professor and International Programs Coordinator, was kind enough to give me a little inside information on the program. Currently, 23 new students from China are participating in a Language and Orientation Experience here on campus. This program allows them get a taste for the United States before being thrown into full time classes. They practice English with students here as well as visit some of Atlanta's landmarks on the weekends: The World of Coke and CNN. However, another 26 students won't be so lucky and will be arriving just in time for the new semester
