ARC 1701 Architecture History Survey Spring 2009 Bitz Gordon Rule Assignment You have been asked to put together a proposal for the University of Florida  Alumni Association.  The Alumni Association is going to sponsor educational  tours for the Gator Nation.  You have been assigned a two-week tour that  addresses an architectural theme.  The theme may be focused on a literary  theme:  the voyage of Odysseus, Jane Austen’s England or Dickens’ London.  The tour may be of a particular country or area:  the chateaux of the Loire Valley,  a cruise around Italy, Greece, or down the Nile.  The tour may be of architectural  types: gardens, palaces, cathedrals, or skyscrapers.  The tour may address a  significant architect: Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, Palladio, Gaudi, or LeCorbusier.  First choose a theme.  Determine what monuments to include and why.  Set an
