Guidelines for Papers Theatre Appreciation (THE2000) Dr. Mitchell For this class, you are REQUIRED to see the following three productions and write two formal academic papers and one reaction paper: A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams (Sept. 18-27) / Constans Theatre - DUE SEPT 30 The Clean House (Oct. 2-11) by Sarah Ruhl / Black Box Theatre - DUE OCT 14 Damn Yankees (Nov. 6-15) by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross / Constans Theatre - DUE NOV 18 FORMAT All papers must be typed, 12 point Times Roman, double-spaced, and stapled (no paper clips). Your name and UFID number should be on the upper right hand corner of the first page. You must staple your ticket stub to the upper left corner of your paper. You must give the paper to your TA. No emailed papers will be accepted. No papers without a ticket stub will be accepted. ACADEMIC PAPERS (total of two) The assignment is to judge the effectiveness of a certain aspect of the production. It should NOT to be a synopsis of the plot, nor is it to be a critique in the "I liked this and I hated that" format.
