Course Description: This course covers production and inventory planning and control problems by taking a mathematical modeling and optimization approach. We will consider many basic problems in deterministic and stochastic inventory control, production planning, production scheduling, and distribution system management. In each case we will formulate the problem as an optimization problem and consider how the problem structure guides us to solution
