Assignment V: SPoT Objective In this series of assignments, you will create an application that lets users tour Stanford through photos. This Frst assignment is to create a navigation-based application to let users browse different categories of spots at Stanford, then click on any they are interested in to see a photo of it. The primary work to be done in this assignment is to create three UIViewController s, one for the categories of places (e.g. Classroom, Museum, Library), one for a list of places in a chosen category (e.g. Green Library, Durand, The Claw), and one to display the chosen photo. The Frst two will be built using UITableViewController s. All the information you need will be downloaded from ±lickr.com using ±lickr’s API. Be sure to check out the Hints section below! Also, check out the latest in the Evaluation section to make sure you understand what you are going to be evaluated on with this assignment. Materials • This is a completely new application, so you will not need anything (but the knowledge you gained) from your Frst four homework assignments. • You will need to obtain a ±lickr API key . A free ±lickr account is just Fne (you won’t be posting photos, just querying them). CS193P IPHONE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT SPRING 2010 PAGE 1 OF 8 ASSIGNMENT V: SPOT
