ethics a definition the study of principles of conduct that  apply to an individual or group Ethics involves both knowing what is  good and doing what is good. Understanding ethics does not  necessarily make you a “better” person,  but it will make you a more  knowledgeable person when it comes  time to make tough decisions.

ethical obligations making an ethical decision means  choosing among several different  obligations: to ourselves to society or the community to affected individuals to our company or institution to the law to a professional code

using ethical  standards one approach to ethical decisions is to consider four basic standards: rights the needs and welfare of  individuals justice how fairly the burden or  effects are distributed utility the effects on the general  public care the effects on those we  have relationships with when these standards conflict, you  have an ethical dilemma
