Jonathan Sullivan A Canoeing Trip Gone Bad One sunny Friday evening, assembled like soldiers at the church preparing to embark upon a journey into the wilderness. With our tan and green uniforms all nice and clean we loaded the trailer full of gear and equipment. The whole painstaking process took over 3 hours to complete. With the trailer fully loaded and ready to go we loaded ourselves into the vehicles and settled in for the hour and a half car ride to kings landing where we would launch our canoes at. So, I turned my ipod on stuck the buds in my ears and took a little power nap because I was so tired I remember It felt like iron weights pulling down on my eye lids forcing them shut. The next thing I know I am being yelled at by my tent buddy Kevin to get my butt out of the car and help everyone unload the trailer. Let me tell you this it was one rude awakening. Like little ants we all lined up behind the trailer and formed a line passing the gear down until the trailer was unloaded. The evening was dwelling and it was soon to be dark with a full moon sown bright in the sky. Most of us had packed our gear in large five gallon paints buckets. Then I remembered that at the last boring troop meeting the scoutmaster had instructed all of use to only bring what we could fit into the bucket the
