Not all genera are within assigned families at this time, and some new genera and families are not shown at right. Viruses in three of these families are plant:animal viruses . These are the families Rhabdoviridae, Reoviridae, Bunyarivirdae . The family Bunyaviridae is the largest family of viruses. The plant-infecting members of these families also infect and replicate in their insect vectors. Virions are structurally complex, containing double- or triple-shelled capsids composed of several virus-coded proteins. The genomes are double-stranded RNA and 10 - 12 chromosomal Reoviridae 10 - 12 chromosomal segments are common.
