Line Art Work
Line drawing or line art is any image that comprises of distinct curved or straight lines
placed against plain background but with no use of hue, shade, or color. Line art is used mainly
to depict three-dimensional or two-dimensional objects. Line art uses lines of different coloration
but art is the monochromatic. It emphasizes outline and form, shading, over color and texture.
Man-made line art – the Mondrian collections of Saint Yves Laurent was designed by
Saint Laurent in 1966. The collection is drawn exclusively from a line art. The line art is
comprised of six cocktail dresses that were inspired by paintings of Mondrian Piet (McClatchy,
2017). The six dresses play a key role in the Mondrian collection.
