Experiment 8: Bipolar Transistor Introduction: The purpose of this lab report is to inform the lab assistant that I’ve worked through the lab and gained an adequate amount of experience in doing so. The information in this lab deals with observing single-transistor amplifiers and bipolar transistors. Objective: The main objective of this lab is to measure and observe the behavior of an npn bipolar transistor. Also to measure the dc operating point and ac of a single-transistor amplifier. Procedure: First, we connected a 1kΩ potentiometer to a 100kΩ resistor. We then connected the transistor to the circuit with a 1kΩ resistor connected to the collector of the transistor and the 100kΩ resistor connected to the base. Next, we connected 10-volts to one part of the potential meter and grounded the other part. We then connected 10-volts to the 1kΩ resistor leaving the collector portion of the transistor. Once the circuit was finished, we fed voltage through the circuit and recorded the voltage across the 100kΩ resistor at point B, the base, as well as at C, the collector. After
