Unformatted text preview: 2/17/11 Click to edit Master subtitle style Antigone 2/17/11 Production Concept: As the director of Antigone I plan to keep the time period the same around 442 BC in Thebes, I love the concept of having the actors in traditional Greek costumes and scenery I think they bring an element of superiority to the play that can only be done in the time period that the play was written for. I plan to emphasize what a strong and powerful woman Antigone is and the love she has for her brother and the respect she has for him. I really want to focus on the scene when Antigone buries him; I want the actress to show lots of emotion in this particular scene. I want the audience to see just how strong willed Antigone is and how through the actions of one woman it can affect the lives of so many. I plan to have Creon portrayed as evil he will be the villain, I dont want the audience relating to him at all. Alongside him is the chorus they will be a dim witted bunch who wise up in the end, realizing that Creon was wrong all along and it will be tragedy...
