This course introduces basic financial accounting concepts, principles, and underlying theories. It also
discusses how companies measure their net income, assets, liabilities and shareholders’ equity in compliance
with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

FINAL EXAMINATION (50%)
final examination will be given to all ACY1111 students. The final examination is closed-book and
comprehensive. Topic coverage and examination format (e.g., problem, essay question and MC questions) will
be announced in class. No make-up examination will be provided.
