Insurance companies are now covering some  CAM therapies: herbal, biofeedback,  chiropractic, megavitamin and acupuncture Many herbal medicines are sold as foods or food  supplements in health food stores if there are no  health claims . No FDA approval Not all CAM’s are based on scientific research,  some are just effective because the patient says  so
