Spencer Karren Week 2 In a recent article published on Wall Street Journal online United States President Barack Obama urged Congress to pass legislation on a small-business proposal that would create a $30 billion fund to incentivize banks to extend credit to small businesses. I believe that small business in the United States have been in desperate need of help from the government. Working three years as an area manager for a small business located in Idaho I could see the struggles small business were going through when it came to getting a loan from a bank. As our company grew from one store to three there was a great need for more credit in which the owner of the company who has great credit could not get approved because of fallen economy. The article talks about the push for the House and Senate to act on Mr. Obama’s proposal comes after a government panel reported a few weeks ago that the administration‘s $700 billion financial bailout may not help small-business growth. I am pleased that Congress is looking to help small business but there should have been
