In your intro you show that you will be critiquing the article, and that you will be talking about changes in sexual harassment and women’s image—but what about these things? State specifically what you will be arguing. In your body paragraphs, you get into some specific and important points. Your thesis needs to tell the reader what is your main argument and what will be the points you’ll be bringing up in the paper to defend this argument. From 1991 to 2010, the face of media and society has changed drastically. Things that were once seen as revolting are now normal in this society, like women working outside of the home. Today, the media covers sex, but sexual harassment is not as blatantly obvious as this late 1990s article, “Prime Time Sexual Harassment,” seems to think. This essay will cover the changes in sexual harassment in American society and women's portrayals in the media since the 90s. In 19 years, the definition of sexual harassment has not changed. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claims sexual harassment to be any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature at work, home, or elsewhere.
