Directions: 1) Using the data from Part 1 of the project do the following; a) Calculate your average garbage production over 7 days Day of Week Average garbage production Monday 4.875 lbs Tuesday 7 lbs Wednsday 5.3125 lbs Thursday 11.625 lbs Friday 8.625 lbs Saturday 7.625 lbs Sunday 6.8125 lbs b) Calculate the average garbage production for each category of use such as food, plastics, etc. Category Average garbage production Food 6.3125 lbs Plastic 11.8125 lbs Paper 12 lbs Other 21.9375 lbs 2) Compare your 7 day average production of garbage to the following; a. Level of production in the United States On average, a person produces 4.5 pounds of garbage per day, which is 31.5 pounds a week in the United States. I produced on outrageous 52 pounds of garbage at home and work. b.
