1. What is your research question? My research question is "Is there an association between the gender of a preschool teacher and how easily the child becomes accustomed to his/her parents leaving?" 2. What is the “research hypothesis?” Hypothesis I: Children will stop crying faster when the teachers are female rather than male. Hypothesis II: Two year olds will become accustom to the daycare faster if they have a female teacher. Hypothesis III: Boys and girls adjust differently in new situations. My reason for this hypothesis comes from past experience of leaving my son in the morning at his daycare and watching the other children. My son would cling to me until his female teacher would take him from me and he would be fine. After a few weeks, I could just walk him outside and he would go play after he made sure his teacher was there. If she was not there, he would again cling to me until I would just have to slip away while he was looking the other way. I observed a few other children during this same period. There was a male teacher
