OM 210 001 Quiz 5, Discrete Probability Distributions For all Tuesday recitation sections of lecture section 001 (Thursday morning lecture), Quiz 5 will be given at the beginning of recitation on Tuesday, November 9 . The quiz will be based on my PowerPoint slide set that I presented in lecture for discrete probability distributions. Quiz 5 will be timed; only 20 minutes will be allowed. Time is of the essence, so work carefully but quickly. Quiz 5 will contain one problem in either the binomial OR the Poisson discrete probability distributions – the problem will be either one type or the other (not both). It is part of the quiz for you to recognize from a careful reading of the text which type of problem is given – you will not be told. (The problem will vary from one recitation to the next.) From the textbook, Quiz 5 will cover sections 5.4 and 5.5, inclusive, from Chapter 5. Quiz 5 will be based on my lecture presentation for both the binomial and the Poisson discrete probability distributions. The presentation is “2 Discrete
