Rashel Izro Dear Reader, Hello. You are no doubt about to go through part of my work this semester and I am nervous about it. As you can probably already figure out by this point, my name is Rashel Izro, I am a freshman in CUNY Hunter College and I always start on a tangent. Being odd as I am, you will find that I use formal language in a casual manner and my tone, though earnest, may often sound pompous or sarcastic unconsciously. From the beginning I worried about how my grade would be affected by the fact that I am naturally long-winded. I attempted to be more specific in my first assigned essay but my lack of in-depth knowledge left questions. For example, I spoke about having cancer and described my experience yet, I still do not know the chemical and scientific terms behind the symptoms so that left the reader unsure of my validity. Later I tried to focus on a political issue, speaking more vaguely and bringing specificity through detailed examples. That was not good enough either, however it was much closer.
