Hibiscus sabdariffa L. was extracted sequentially by n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol–acetic acid 1 % solvent. The anthocyanin pigment was detected in methanol–acetic acid 1 % extract. The anthocyanin pigment then was examined under various conditions of ‘no light’ condition, 25 watt of lighting condition, with the temperature of 20 and 30 °C.
