Unformatted text preview: TA-4PETR 3402Reservoir Rock PropertiesExperiment 7: Relative PermeabilityExperiment Date: 2ndNovember 2010Report Submission Date: 9thNovember 2010Submitted By: Raymond HuppPartners Names:Aaron BlasBrady GrasmickExecutive Summary:In the following experiment entitled Relative Permeability, our objective was to determine the permeability by recording the pressure drop of our core sample by injecting a particular brine/oil/water throughout the core in both sand packed and glass packed cores. At first, we had to make sure that our given plug was fully saturated in the mixtures. After that, we had to make sure that the three-way valve was in the bleed position and the two-way valve was in the closed position. Then we removed one side of the steel core holder and shook it loose for any core rings. Once this is complete, we then inserted the saturated core plug into the core holder and then stabilized the pressure inside. After this is done, we recorded the pressure difference and flow rate when we injected oil and water at different intervals into the core. Then, we used this data to calculate the actual flow rate, KRO, KRW, core....
