EFFECTIVE PERSUASION 2 Effective persuasion I chose to read the essay entitled I See Why Others Choose to Die , by Jerry Fensterman. I have never had an opinion on the issue of assisted suicide. After reading Fensterman’s essay I believe that it would be the most humane thing to do for a person who is terminally ill. By allowing them that last minimal fraction of dignity to choose between life and death can be rewarding for them. Thinking about the essay makes me believe that people who are against assisted suicide are just being selfish by wanting to keep his or her loved ones around longer. All the while the poor people are in unbearable pain and suffering just because someone was too greedy and refused to end his or her dying loved ones pain. I recently lost a relative to brain cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, and kidney cancer. The cancer had taken over my aunt’s whole
