TO DRILL OR NOT TO DRILL 2 To Drill or Not to Drill I believe that investing in renewable energy resources is the way to go for our future. I understand that the oil drilling will probably never stop when we need gasoline. But I believe that our energy usage can be decreased by converting to renewable resources such as solar power and wind power. Solar power and wind power will help create more jobs. The jobs that will be created will be much safer than the jobs on the oil rigs in the gulf. The men and women of the oil rigs would not be at risk for the rigs to explode, if they were working with solar power or wind power. Eleven people risked their lives and died when an oil rig in the gulf exploded. How many more people have to die for oil? I am not completely sure if we will ever get away from the use of oil in our cars but we should try to create more electric cars and cars that run on some form of a
