Using Wireshark and a switch capture traffic between two routers. The commands on a switch to  monitor traffic are as follows: 2950#configure terminal 2950(config)#monitor session 1 source interface fastethernet 0/2 !--- This configures interface Fast Ethernet 0/2 as source port. !--- In this case the source port will be the interface connected to the router that you wish to capture traffic from. 2950(config)#monitor session 1 destination interface fastethernet 0/3 !--- This configures interface Fast Ethernet 0/3 as destination port. !--- In this case the destination port will be the interface connected to your PC running Wireshark. 2950#show monitor session 1 !--- This confirms for you how the monitor session is set up. 4.
