Throughout one’s cultural immersion, they may experience a variety of important cultural factors including the roles of family, the delicate display of male and female roles, and the importance of religious adherence. Description of Event Here, you will describe exactly what you did for the actual immersion part of the project. For example: Meeting with an Indian family was my first task as I ventured into the culture of Little India on Pioneer in Artesia, California. I was welcomed to join in one celebration called Diwali . It is a festival of lights, prayers, firecrackers, colorful decorations, and the celebration of a new year (Hora, 2008). Diwali usually takes place in the month of October or November (Hora, 2008). Everyone is invited to join the community: neighbors, friends, family, and even strangers.
