P a g e  | 2 Design Report NCI-60 DTP Human Tumor Cell Line Screening 1 Introduction 1.1 Purpose of the system In this project our aim is to support the cancer researches by using bio information  technics and analyzing bio information data. National Cancer Institute (NCI) is the primary  organization that researches the effects of the different medicines on different cell lines. This organization has a large amount of data. There are 49.000 medicines and 60  different cell lines to be used for these experiments; therefore with the different concentration  of each medicine; number of these experiments’ results is about 9 million records. 1.2 Design goals Our   main   purpose   is   to   design   a   system   which   provides   a   client   –   server   based  interaction. Design should provide the client to analyze and list the data with minimum  required time.
