Getting Involved on Campus 2 Clustered together, limited to in work area, and aggravated by the lack of personal space, are the 150 students in held within Professor Pamela Hood’s (Professor Pam) lecture hall Introduction to Philosophy class , which is held in a large lecture hall that has seating, but no desks [The way you phrased this, the lecture hall belonged to Prof. Pam] . For numerous many college freshmen, this lecture hall is an introduction to only a minute portion of higher learning. They may feel that , and finding a way to stand out can be difficult [as phrased, this was a run-on] . However, students can use their initiative to become involved in their academic and social community on campus as a way to triumph over feeling miniscule and voiceless, and also to further their education. According to Aisling Ash (no date), “Getting involved in college is the gateway to many things.” (page number?) In fact, by becoming involved in the university life, students can create an enriching experience for themselves by setting aside time to engage in just a few constructive activities that will be useful in college and beyond. The most important strategy students can use to ensure their college journey is successful is to create bonds with professors; these bonds can last for years on after college, and also provides benefits after graduation. Some other activities that are also beneficial include actively participating in class, utilizing tutoring opportunities, and joining a social or academic club, . w W ithout becoming involved in these types of activities outside of class , life after in a university colleg e can be a strenuous day-to-day obstacle. The most valuable way to get involved on campus is to get to know the professors. Professors are usually bursting with information and can be very approachable and eager to share their knowledge with students who share a high interest for learning. For instance, Professor Pam appears to be very unapproachable when Tanisha Saini
